Lee Health is seeking a Palliative Care Physician!
Lee Health is a nonprofit organization with more than 17,000 employees, 4,500 volunteers, and more than 1,200 employed primary care and specialty care providers with multiple practice locations throughout Southwest Florida. The organization has four acute care hospitals and one specialty hospital that together house over 1,800 hospital beds.
Position Information:
Lee Health Heart Institute is currently seeking a Palliative Care Physician to join the Advanced Heart Failure Center at HealthPark Medical Center in Fort Myers, Florida. The Advanced Heart Failure-Specialized Palliative Care Physician will be working alongside the cardiac team of AHF cardiologists and cardiac surgeons and joining the Palliative Care team that consists of 4 physicians and 13 APRNs. Candidates for this position will be interested in doing coordinated care, medication & chronic symptom management, end of life management, as well as goals of care discussions in heart failure patients; this includes hospitalized patients in cardiogenic shock supported with ECMO, Impella and left-ventricular assist devices, as well as consultations of ambulatory patients in Advanced Heart Failure Center. This is a newly established Advanced Heart Failure program and a great opportunity for someone with an interest in development, program growth and out of the box thinking with a high focus on exceptional patient care to join the team and assist with this strategic redesign process
