Interim HR Comp/Analyst Leader (3–6 Months), Large Medical Center, FLA.
A large Academic Medical Center in Florida seeks an experienced Interim HR Comp/Analyst Leader to provide immediate leadership and analytical expertise during a 3–6 month engagement. Reporting to the CHRO or VP of Total Rewards, this role will assess, stabilize, and optimize compensation programs across a complex healthcare environment including hospital operations, ambulatory services, and corporate functions.
Key Responsibilities: • Conduct comprehensive review of compensation philosophy, salary structures, and pay practices. • Analyze market competitiveness using healthcare/AMC survey data (AAMC, SullivanCotter, Mercer, etc.). • Evaluate and refine job architecture, leveling frameworks, and career paths. • Partner with Finance on labor cost modeling, workforce planning, and budget alignment. • Assess internal equity, pay compression, and retention risk. • Ensure compliance with FLSA and healthcare regulatory requirements. • Develop executive-ready dashboards and compensation analytics reporting. • Advise on merit cycles, incentive programs, and bonus structures. • Provide mentorship and stabilization to the internal compensation team as needed.
Qualifications: • 5-10+ years progressive compensation experience; healthcare/AMC experience required. • Experience supporting large, matrixed health systems (5,000+ employees preferred). • Strong analytics; advanced Excel and HRIS expertise (Workday preferred). • Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability and strong stakeholder management skills.
