PGY-3 Categorical General Surgery Vacancy – HCA Florida JFK Hospital General Surgery Residency (Atlantis, FL).

The HCA Florida JFK Hospital General Surgery Residency Program is accepting applications for a PGY-3 Categorical General Surgery position beginning July 01, 2026.  Applications will be accepted through 02/13/26 at 3pm EST.

About the Program:

The HCA Florida JFK Hospital/University of Miami Miller School of Medicine GME Consortium General Surgery Residency Program’s mission is to develop the next generation of physicians and physician leaders. We are a hybrid community/University affiliated general surgery program that strives to train surgeons to gain the best experiences of both community and academic settings. We provide evidence-based care to the greater community served by our hospital which includes a vibrant elderly community, robust working class, and under-served indigent population. Requirements

Applicant Requirements:

Eligible applicants must:

•       Have successfully completed a PGY-1 and PGY-2 year in an ACGME-accredited General Surgery residency.
•       Be eligible to obtain a Florida medical license by 07/01/2026.
•       Be in good standing with your current program (no remediation/probation).
•       We sponsor J-1 visas only.

•       USMLE/COMLEX transcript (Step 3 required)
•       ABSITE scores for PGY-1 & PGY-2 years
•       PGY-1 and PGY-2 ACGME milestones
•       3 LORs (at least one from your current PD or Department Chair)
•       Residency rotation & operative case logs
•       Medical school diploma and transcript (must be translated, if applicable)
•       ECFMG certificate, if applicable
